Accessibility Statement
How accessible the Kujua Point website is, what has been tested, what has not, and how to report a barrier.
Information:
Our target
We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not completed a full independent audit, so we do not claim conformance.
What we have built in
- A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Semantic landmarks and a single, ordered heading hierarchy per page.
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, never removed for styling.
- Form labels tied to their controls, with error messages announced through
aria-describedbyrather than shown only in red. - Status and error messages announced to screen readers as they appear.
- Keyboard-operable menus, tabs, accordions and dialogs, with focus trapped inside an open dialog and returned when it closes.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Full support for the reduced-motion system preference.
- Page zoom up to 500% without loss of content, and layouts down to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling.
- Status never communicated by colour alone — every state also carries a text label.
Known limitations
- No independent audit or assistive-technology user testing has been carried out yet. Our checks so far are automated plus manual keyboard testing.
- Editorial photography is still being produced. Placeholder blocks currently stand in for several images, and final alt text will be written with the photographs.
- Programme comparison tables scroll horizontally on narrow screens. This is operable but is not yet an ideal small-screen treatment.
- Video lessons in the student portal do not yet have captions or transcripts. These are required before the first cohort begins.
